1. What are the billing rates and fees for domestic, commercial and industrial accounts?
This information is available by calling Town Hall (704) 663-3800 or by clicking Rates & Fees.

2. How do I apply for water or sewer service?
Complete the application for water and return it to the Water Office at Town Hall, 413 North Main Street.

3. What chemicals are used in the treatment of the Town's water and what is the quality of the Town's water?
This information is available on the Annual Drinking Water Report or you can contact the Water Treatment Plant at (704) 664-4268.

4. Where does the Town's water come from?
The Town of Mooresville's water source is Lake Norman.

5. Who do I call in the case of a Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO)?
Call the Water/Sewer Maintenance office at (704) 664-3705.

6. Who do I call for nuisance odors from manholes or sewer lift station areas?
Call the Water/Sewer Maintenance office at (704) 664-3705.

7. Who do I call to report a water emergency?
During office hours (8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday) you can contact the Water/Sewer Maintenance Shop at (704) 664-3705 or (704) 663-7282.
After hours you can contact the police department at (704) 664-3311.

8. Is the public allowed on the Wasterwater plant site?
No, there are too many dangers present, such as bacteria, gas fumes, open pits filled with liquid waste, high voltage equipment and chemical hazards just to name a few. There are "No Trespassing" signs posted however parents are urged to warn their children of the dangers posed at the wastewater plant.

10. Do you accept septic tank waste at your facility?
No we do not.

11. Is it ok to pour grease down the drain?
No, grease will not flow freely it will simply accumulate and cause a blockage which will in turn cause a backup in your home or an overflow in our system.

12. Can I discard trash in the toilet such as paper towels or plastic wrappers?
No, these items can also cause a backup and/or overflow plus thay can damage expensive equipment used to convey wasterwater.
