Special Response Team
The Special Response Team (SRT) is a group of officers led by Sgt. Chris Walker. These officers are volunteers and must qualify for the team through an interview process and successful completion of tested, practical exercises. The Team assists with high-risk search warrants, arrest warrants and other calls for service such as barricaded subjects and hostage situations. Because of their responsibilities, team members receive specialized training frequently and have access to specialized equipment. Mooresville's SRT has joined with the Cornelius Police Department's SRT to better serve both communities.
