Patrol Division

Within the Patrol Division, there are two squads of police officers and each squad is led by a captain. Within each squad, there are two shifts led by a lieutenant. These officers are responsible for responding to all calls for police service within the Mooresville town limits and engage in other patrol activities such as law enforcement, crime prevention, traffic safety and enforcement. To ensure a timely response, officers are assigned to designated zones. Shifts are identified in an alpha system as A Shift, B Shift, C Shift or D Shift.

The following specialized units are also part of the Patrol Division: Bike Patrol , K-9 Teams, Negotiators, and Special Response Team.
