Honor Guard
Established in 2009, the Mooresville Police Department’s Honor Guard is a ceremonial unit that represents professionalism, respect and honor. Members of the Honor Guard serve as guardians of the colors, including the American and North Carolina flags, during ceremonial events including funerals. Currently, Officer Dan Walther serves as the Honor Guard’s leader and received much of his training through his service as a First Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps.
