Crisis Intervention Team

During an officer’s shift, he or she may be called upon to deal with a person suffering with emotional, mental or substance abuse issues. Traditionally, these calls have been problematic for law enforcement due to lack of appropriate training in these specific areas. However, several officers with the Mooresville Police Department have attended Crisis Intervention Training and are aware of various community resources that can assist with a multi-disciplinary approach.
