Housing Rehabilitation Program
The Town sponsors a Housing Rehabilitation Program for qualified homeowners. The programs are qualified by income for owner-occupied homes and are available in two options: a Loan Program for homeowners needing housing repairs; and an Emergency Repairs Program for assistance to one specific repair (roof, bath floor, accessibility repair, etc.) For more information, call 704-662-3192.
Community Housing Development Corporation
The Town partners with the Community Housing Development Corporation of Mooresville/South Iredell, a private, non-profit organization, to provide decent, affordable housing for low and moderate income families through collaborative and innovative programs, financing, and human development. The Community Housing Development Corporation provides homebuyer classes and counseling that assist prospective home buyers in preparing for their responsibilities that come with homeownership. Their programs Include:
• First-time Homebuyer Class
• Understanding Your Credit Report Class
• Credit & Money Management
• Home Maintenance Class
• Post Counseling
