Town Roads Closed for Commercial Filming

This week, producers will be in Mooresville to film a Diet Mountain Dew commercial. During filming, the following streets may be temporarily closed: Main Street, W. Moore Avenue, Broad Street, Morning Sun Drive, Wayman Road and Coddle Creek Highway. Mooresville Police Department will be assisting with traffic control.

Traffic Signal Changes at Church Street & Wilson Avenue

The Town will change the traffic signal at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Church Street to a flashing only signal for a period of 90 days beginning Friday, January 13. The signal light will flash red on Wilson Avenue and flash yellow on Church Street. A “New Traffic Pattern Ahead” sign will be placed before the signal. Speed Limit Reduced

The speed limit on Wilson Avenue between Main Street and Clay Street has been reduced from 35 MPH to 25 MPH due to limited sight distances and traffic flow issues. Also, all streets in the Greencroft subdivision were reduced from 35 MPH to 25 MPH.

Winter Weather Preparedness Week

November 27 – December 3 is Winter Weather Preparedness Week in North Carolina. The National Weather Service will be issuing messages to help residents prepare for winter weather. Transportation Survey

NCDOT and SCDOT are conducting random surveys in the greater Charlotte region to update transportation models based on current transportation patterns. Mooresville residents may receive a letter asking them to participate in the survey.
